Somebody watches too much sci-fi channel, and not enough news channel. I was going to say more but I'll drop the rest in the interest of peace.

Errr, are you sure? All my pictures show the basic model with the 7.62mm MG turret (except for one of an upgraded version with 20mm gun). Among the 7 planned versions there was indeed a fire support vehicle with 90mm gun, the HWK-12, but AFAIK it was never build, nor where the other versions (HWK-10 and HWK-13 to 16). It's possible that the Mexican army converted some of its HWK-11's to "HWK-12" standard, maybe with a Lynx turret, but I have yet to see a picture.

Fuel consumption and speed IIRC. In urban environment you don't need a 6-wheeler, so you elevate the middle wheels. In cross-country, you put it back.

They have Russian-made APCs, helicopters and soon jets. I don't know if Mexico needs tanks, though, as they're very expensive to operate and there isn't much of a threat from Guatemala.

Yeah, if Mexico want to have more advanced tanks, it would be better to buy those 2hand Israeli merkava1, since they are changing them for Merkava4. What a great Tank

No, we are allies , but they need to take care of the rebels in Chiapas, so they have to worry more about their domestic enemies than their neighbors.

Indeed, Mexico has plans to buy Russian Made SU-27, and yes we have some Russian APC´s,but they belong to the Mexican Navy,..NOT the Army!

I dont doubt maybe in the near future they would buy some other russian made equipment, but i would say that for now "IF "they would buy any other military vehicules they would most probably be from european contrys.
