I concur my comments on OPSEC were a little touchy. I am just saying that when we mention that stuff is "on the way" and add it to any other bits of information the "bad guys" may have found out and about.. then they can put together a fairly big picture.

As for my EMES 18/15 comments, I actually took the info from the Osprey military "New Vanguard" book titled Leopard 1 Main Battle Tank 1965-1995 in which is states "the EMES 18 fire control system was developed from the proven EMES 15 installed in the Leopard 2 and shares many common components". So in the event of my revealing of secrets, sorry but I know nothing....

Croat, do you re-read your statements before you press the post button? I sugggest you do as you are once again making comments about stuff you know nothing about. If you don't think this forum is a great place for OPSEC violations of many countries then you are sadly mistaken. The "personal" pictures posted here on a regular basis are not screened by any public affairs offices of any militaries therefore ensure their authenticity and lack of "tweaking". I know I have seen more about military vehicles here than I have ever seen on any intelligence briefing in the military!! I post a pic and ask for an ID, I can guarantee and answer within 4 hours...it's crazy!!

Well about the coment about Leo and LAV i get tell by a guy who is LAV get hit by 6 RPG when he was inside and he suffer only inside wound same for the others (Dunno if he exagerate whit the number of RPG but i know the guy for a while now)LAV are pretty good Veh just take some exemple you can find a picture of a LAV who get hit by a IED and the only damage he got is 2 flat tire

So on my point of view RG-31, LAV III And a Leo C2 best team ever for place like A'stan only problem is fill the spot for the G-wag..Dont get me wrong its a good veh but time show its not good for place like a'stan so what about RG-32?I heard they can get some in 1 month or less

Just to comment on the G-wagon, apparently T-LAV (Tracked Light Armored Vehicle) basically upgraded m113A4 are being sent there to replace the G-wagon of its duites.

AFAIK, there's about 700 of them in the process of disposal.

Besides, would'nt really offer much more than a G-Wagon with armour kit, plus it's slower..

    Apples and Oranges..

The T-LAV is a battle taxi, not a light patrol vehicle.

We have a better Battle Taxi .. the LAVIII

We need a light patrol vehicle, one in-between the G and the Nyala..

Hopefull the LAPV (Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle) project will move foward.

Panhard VBL seems like a good choice..

    Quick question:

How many MBTs in Canadian Army? And how many fighters in Canadian Air Force?

Just to give you a heads up, the T-LAV is a super vehicle.. lots of speed. It's not your grandmother's old M113.

guest, I too loved the VBL when I drooled over them in Bosnia in 93.. they are a hot vehicle.. they lack the firepower that the LAVs have though.

I bet I know me too.. hehe.. You guys replaced us ex Strat and of course with the "way it works" in the Strats.. all went to hell as far as the all ranks sharing we had. You guys still have to seperate the Officers, NCOs and men. I don't know what the hang up is with that unit?!

As for my unit.. secret squirrel stuff. I can't tell.
