hrm firing 110 rounds on a suspect doesnt look very professional to me, and their statement they only tried not to let him shoot back is ridiculous. i mean, a simple had shot wasnt enough, was it? well i can understand their behaviour but what these swat officers did was the old "dont mess up with the police" - thing. we had something similar here...after a bank robbery a armed suspect used a motorcycle to escape and as he did that he drove over an officer. then they hit him 14-times.
ok so what difference does it make if the offciers fired 12 rounds each or 3?
same end result, the guy would be dead anyway.
i really do not understand what people's problem is with the number of rounds fired in this situation.
no - of course its better to unload your magazines on that bastard then throw some frags to make sure he didnt survive the 68 bullets - then drive a wooden stake through his heart (or whats left of it) and shoot a silver bullet through his head, cover the dead body with garlic and holy water - then burn the remains.

0r 20 officers at 5.5 rounds each = 110 rd.
