Well today was definitely a good day. Nice and cloudy, but too many people. So I didnt get that many shots. Maybe 40 or so.
Here are some first 5D mk2 shots I got today
The gorilla was reading Visitors Guide to make sure it knew where it was.
This guy was pretty beat up. Everyone kept picking on him, and stomping him

I use it for a different purpose though. I generally use it so as much of the scene has the correct exposure which is the correct use of the HDR principle. What many call HDR is simply advanced tone mapping. So yeah.
Im yet to see HDR that I like or appreciate.
But you got it Min, very nice. A good example of proper HDR!
Yeah man I'm the same. I got called out in class by a stupid bitch you said what I did was not HDR.............Lecturer soon put her in her placeWas pretty funny.
I've done another portrait shoot during the week. When I finish them and upload them to DA I'll show you guys the link.
Nice pics, but with what you're doing, wouldn't it be much simpler to just take one RAW shot, and adjust accordingly in LR? Would you not essentially get the same result?
I don't like over-the-top HDR, but a subtle hint of it has its place in photography me thinks.
No because with one shot the entire image is not exposed properly, the true colour of certain things do not show the correct brightness ect ect.
I shot them on my 170-500mm as I'm a chickenNever really went about 170 I don't think, or atleast not by much.
Here are two really nice HDR's I've found before. not mine
I agree that hdr can look overcooked, and I'm guilty of that myself.
Some b+w conversions and tighter crops of the veteran pics I posted elsewhere on the forum earlier, I think the older generation suit b+w especially well.

Not at hand I don't. I'll have to grab my photography dvd backups from storage.
I am not an HDR fan, well at least not the one where it's misused. It was meant to give greater tonal range of light that's it. People over use it. I don't use it myself, well becasue I am to lazy to fiddle with so much post processing.
Anyway,
