We went up one those rivers at 4am and it's real spooky. It's pitch black and you shine the torch around and there are all these orange eye's looking at you.
What's even more spooky is that those rivers have really high banks and you've got all these orange eye's looking at you a couple of meters above you as well.
Yeah, that is great fun. I went up an inland river in a boat, put the torch next to my eyes and looked around and must have seen twenty pairs of eyes looking at me from various altitudes and distances. At least they were all freshies. You can do the same with spiders too, or so I have been told. Never tried myself.
