Discussions at government level about whether to send the SOF detachment, have been reported in the media for quite a while. So itīs not really OPSEC...

Maybe that's the one (I didn't think of the timezones - #172 shows up as 09:35 AM here...)

    Either way - hardly OPSEC.

Two Danish soldiers were wounded in combat early this morning. One was shot in the leg, the other in the shoulder.

They need to train their bullet-dodging skill a bit...

Any news on the BG? I know they've been assisting the Brits on their operation but what about the SF sent?

Are you Danes set to send more troops for the next rotation or just keep consistent troop levels?

Oh and is Denmark the only West European NATO country where the population actually has more support for the mission than no support? I mean why is this and why isnt it like in other countries such as Germany or Spain where they really oppose it?

So do Danes never wear the ISAF patch? I don't think I've seen it in a single photograph.

Thats weird, I seem to be able to see the ISAF patches on most of the photos in this thread.

IIRC, it has other desirable properties apart from the camouflage (heat deflection). That said, I think camo is useful in a number of situations in Helmand, even for vehicles.

I'm not sure either. But when in the dirt, I have always more from everything than needed. Better to have more camo than no camo.
Heat deflection should be a good argument too.

^ Yeah.. it reduces the workload for the AC.. The CV9035's that are deploying in 6 months time will also wear it..
