I used surefire EP4, that works best for me, I hate peltors itīs crashing my skull under helmet
I don't know about the jaegers but all regular Danish soldiers are issued a pair of individually molded earplugs with filters. They don't impair your hearing too much but they effectively shut out sounds like gunfire and explosions. They can easily be worn under headsets. It's a huge step up from the all-or-nothing earplugs we used before.

A few pics from Operation Ring Of Steel in Helmand. Danish and British forces surrounded an area containing Taliban forces, in the same area where Operation Pantherīs Claws was conducted, between Gereskh and Lashkar Gah

Soldiers from the 2. Light Recce Squadron search a tunnel under a canal, which is used daily by both locals and Taliban to get to and from the Green Zone.
Temporary patrol base "Joboland".
A Shura held at "Joboland", to discuss security in the area, with locals.

Looks like, from the mission-updates, that the scouts from Bornholm is doing well on their dismounted operations. I most admit that i was a bit sceptical about sending a light recce squadron to Helmand, too replace a mechanized infantry-company. But i still look forward to when team 9(Royal Guards Regiment) takes over with their CV9035's(armoured infantry).
"New" M113 ambulance for the battlegroup in Helmand

What's the point in bringing an extra wheel along? If it hits a mine, that rubber track is going to be impossible to fix anyway.
Btw. Aren't they going to use the new DURO III ambulance trucks in Helmand?
Thought the DURO and the Piranha would do the job? Plus, if you're not seriously hurt BEFORE being put in a shaking and rattling M113, I'm guessing you are when you get out.![]()
I guess with this they won't be as bound to the infrastructure as with the Duro. Not much point in having the mobility of Leo2 and CV90 if the support can't go with them. As for the extra road wheel - good point
Also, a G3 with six road wheels and band tracks isn't that bad a ride anymore.

Good point.
Haven't tried band tracks, but I hope you're right.![]()

That 113 shown is shurely extended, bet its to get more space inside.
Got ekstra protection and the Rpg protection too.
Only thing missing is the OWS..
G3's with rubber tracks is like a Go-kart, it can't be compared to the old ones at all.
NO Engineers got a smal number of them..
Our new upgraded 113's with the US powerpack rides bether, faster and more silent than the CV9030.
Some pictures from a recent offensive operation carried out by the Danish Battlegroup, Operation Tufaan Feschar, in Upper Gereshk Valley.

The Army Operational Command has decided to reinforce the Danish battle group with a 35 man platoon, for 2-3 weeks around the upcoming 2nd round of the afghan presidential election.
