Dear Danish soldiers,

ok so I am half Danish and half Greek but have lived all my life in Germany but would like to join the Danish army. Problem is I do not speak any Danish yet which i will do in summer, i will go and take aprt in intesiv courses to learn Dansih as fast as possible, my question was are there foreigners in the army even tho im not technically a foreigner will there be some predjuce towards me for being a Dane that will not speak proper Danish? not that that worries me but I would just like to have some inforamtion before hand and would like to hear first hand. Any response would be helpful,

Well, was a conscript along side a South African/Danish guy, he didn´t speak much Danish at first, but it seemed to work out fine. And if you´re in a system that works entirely in Danish, your language is going to come along quickly.
What branch do you want to join?

Since it's possible for foreign citizens to join, I'm sure there are, but personally I've never come across any (that I know of).

If you're nice guy and learn Danish (beware - it's known to be difficult), I can't imagine it'll be a problem.

I relasie the language is hard i have started teaching it to my self while i have time off from university and its slowly but surely getting there from self help and im pretty sure im a nice guy! lol

Well i hope I will be able to learn the langauge fast! Thanks again for your help it is much appreciated and who knows maybe in a year or twos time we may run into each other!
