    Sure does.

Neither unemployment, poverty, or the get-what-you-can-before-Obama-bans-them craze could stop my latest AR project, which was finally completed yesterday.

It's finally functional, and I can't wait to take it out. Plans for the (hopefully, near) future include better scope rings, a match-grade trigger, a BUIS, and a better sling.

(also pictured is the AR I built last year)

So I've finally got a working black rifle!
Picked up the Bushmaster upper I mentioned earlier. It has a Samson free-float rail on it and an enlarged charging handle latch. Yesterday, I asked the guy if he had a front sight for it and he said he'd bring it today (a YHM, and he threw it in for free). I had an A.R.M.S. BUIS, aimpoint and surefire that I had bought for my M16 that I threw on there.

Very nice. Between the rail, the BCG, and the site, I think you actually did get a pretty good deal.

Thanks James. I'm really happy with it. When I got home, I cleaned it and went sight in the irons and red dot; she shoots great! Next is probably a clubfoot modstock (or a LMT), a MIAD grip, enlarged trigger guard and I'll be set I think.

    Thanks, Henry and BJ!

I'm not sure who made the front site. It came attached to the barrel (a Bushmaster) when I bought it (from SMGLee). The front site on the carbine is a Yankee Hill.

Thanks, JC0352. It's not exactly how I want it, yet. When I get the match trigger, I'll be really happy.

Brownells has a new link for custom building your AR, if the parts ever get back in stock. You mix and match the parts on screen by drag and drop...It looks pretty cool, fun to play with to get an estimate anyway...
