had a fast lunch with a bowl of hot ramen and smoked tuna carpaccio
Made some Falafel and stuck it in some pitta bread with salad etc.

Last night we celebrated a Bro' back from Astan,the dinner was a mix of specialties from various Italian regions and that's just a part of what we ate :
Horse meat sausages typical of Puglia
Bruschetta and Arrosticini ,a must from Abruzzo
Spiced bacon roll from Calabria
And to round off the very "icing on the cake" ,typical in my home especially in this season
marinated strawberries in mascarpone cream ,simple but super .
Here's what i made for myself.
A slice of fresh baked bread with mayo. One of life's little pleasures.
Turkey steak
Salad
Egg thing with Mushrooms,Jalepeno's and onions.
I had horse meat once. It was on my only trip to Venice. My wife and I walked into this deli. The deli was magnificent. I had the lady slice some horse breasaola (?). Didn't like it. Didn't hit the spot at all. Maybe it was phsychological, I don't know.
