Thats not the ol methane+soap trick is it?
LOL, I remember ours got a kick out of putting alcohol in a 10gal water jug and lighting the vapor. In hindsight its probably no the smartest thing cause it would shoot a jet of fire out of the top and burn the ceiling. Oh it also works with moonshine and a beer bottle. Once again not smart if you just happen to have both hand at the time your probably not thinkin right.![]()
And pics.

I dig the fire and water pics.
Fire and ice... nice...
This was probably the only demonstration more fun than the fire bubbles (till the bucket of bubbles at the end of the year).
The gummi bear sacrifice. That gummy bear lights up like road flare when it comes in contact with the sodium chloride. Our AP class would have it demonstrated the same day it would be demonstated for the chem I kids (to show decomposition and compustion reactions), just for the fun of it.
Our teacher was a pyromaniac.
Sodium chlorate being decomposed into sodium chloride and pure oxygen.
Gummi bear as a hydrocarbon reacting when put in.
