Joining 29 and 59 Cdo will see you joining the best motivated guys from your respective regiments. Also talking with these guys they always expressed that they enjoyed working with 3 Commando Bde or/and Royal Marines.
Also you are in Guz which is a fun place and not to cluttered with Btn after Btn on top of each other.
I was an Instructor on the AACC Team twice and throughly enjoyed working with such a motivated bunch of blokes.
If you wish to attempt the course you have to be reasonable fit but there is no need to be super fit as this may work against you, peaked equals broken easy. However if you think you can just rock up with no preparation you will be in for a shock, there is a fine line between the two. I have seen both many times.

AHaha other than the poser bashing I do have something to add
CUrrently in the UAS while I'm at uni prior to my application to the forces proper afterwards and our current squadron leader has a commando dagger on his flightsuit, just because having flown a lot of blokes with it arund in the (mighty) chinook he decided he'd impress them and try the course. ANd after a lot of effort and pain he did
