That looks like a SA-7 Grail vs Mi-24... Must be from Chechnya..
Yep it's real and don't think it should be posted as they're Terrorists v's Russian troops , bad v good so to speak , that cry get's right on my goat !!
This happened in 2002 in Chechnya. Two Mi-24 gunships were escorting an Mi-8 when Chechen combatants / foreign Jihadists shot down one of the Mi-24s with a Russian-made MANPADS.
And use the search function, the video has been posted many times before.

^^^ Mate the CIA and their brit counter parts where up to their necks assisting the Mujahdeen (apologises on spelling) during the soviet campaign.
I wonder, are there other shoot-down vids like this, from shoulder fired devices?
BTW- I agree, definately a SA-7. Stinger is more slender in appearance and has a box-like metal plates which unfold for viewer to aim at target.
Yes, all that help that CIA and MI5 granted to the Arab's during the Cold War has come back and bit their asses. Oh well.
This is in Chechnya, by the way. One question though, do the people in the chopper (Mi-24) survive?
Nevermind, I just found out. (The two pilots died)
