Be carefull with the surefire ear plugs...if they do not fit perfectly, you could end up like me with a continuous ringing in your ear for years to come. aint fun.

Any body have the name of the OD Green ear protection that blocks out the sound of gun fire but not of people speaking.I can't remember the name of it.Only time I ever got issued it and was a sad day when I had to return it.

No worries Gruntcap. However, if you want better quality ones think about picking up msa sordins. I never used them, but I heard they are better in terms of comfort and noise quality over peltor comtac.

I have a set of Peltor Comtac's and have used them for the last couple years and found them good, they have the cable and boom mike to operate with our PRR radios. I also had TCI Liberator II ear pro on issue on my last deployment and found them just as good, Both worth it if you can afford it.
The Silynx C4OPS systems are about to come online with us. Be good having hearing pro we can plug into our personal, external and vehicle comms

Question for you all: as stated above, I've been using an MSA Sordin headset for years, never had reason to look back. Only problem i've got is a lack of a long-cord PTT to run from my pack up to my vest for my longer-range radio, and the headset I've got doesnt come with one. I've seen Peltor PTTs with a good, long cord on 'em for sale on EBay, was wondering if anyone has ever tried using Peltor PTTs with an MSA headset and if so, any issues?
