    Default Obsolete weapons in use

What it says in the title... post pictures of obsolete weapons applied to use in clever ways.

I'll start off with these French soldiers in WWI with a homemade catapult for lobbing hand grenades:

Well it can fire a wider range of ammunition than the standard pump-opened M203. Longer cased 40mm rounds (Illumination rounds, for instance) can't be inserted into the M203. Since the M79 is a break-opened mechanism, you can fit any length case into the chamber.

There were Brazilian cops cutting about with Madsen LMG's in a Todays Pics thread some time ago. They've been in production in one form or another since 1890.

I am not very sure, but are you talking about a Brazillian unit called B.O.P.E using a Bren in a firefight? Sounds different, but cstill contributing.

Don't know the unit, but we do know they definitely were not using Bren's - they were Madsens.

Doesn't the Indian Army still use the .303 Bren LMG or a rechambered 7.62mm version of the same weapon?

Hey snakebite, thanks for the photos. I remember when 10th Mountain Div. went into Haiti in 94', there was footage of Haitian police and soldiers carrying the ol' Garand as well as the M-14. Do you or anyone else know what other infantry weapons the Haitians use? I've seen some M-16A1s and FN-FALs here and there as well as Uzi SMGs.

I dont consider weapons as obsolete as long as they can do what they are intended to do.
