The towed version of the TOR-M1
17 of the 29 TORs received recently by Iran were of these towed version.

Someone can ask about the advantage of towed version in comparison with the standard self-propelled versions. The towed version can’t be distinguished by the aerial/satellite reconnaissance: it includes the usual truck and imperceptible trailer. As the trailer has no engine, there is no risk of detection and destroying by missiles/submunitions with thermal imaging or infra-red homing.
Nice photos Armenian of the Tor-m1 towed.
Any one have SVD sniper photos.
I would be very much surprised if the towed version of the Tor M-1 did not include a generator to cater for the energy needs of the radars and launcher in one self-contained package. Even if the generator is not mounted on the trailer itself, but off-carriage, it needs to be positioned relatively close, say, 50 meters. The appearance of the trailer in the photo The Armenian posted suggests that it is not just a bare-bones launcher, but comes with a built-in generator, probably either a diesel or a gas turbine.

Of course, the trailer has some little power unit for the launcher’s drives and radar; it can be a little diesel or an electrical engine with accumulator batteries fed by the power unit in the truck. But it can’t be so easy target for thermal imaging devices as the truck engine with distinctive heat signature. Imperceptibility is very important if the adversary is technologically advanced.
I agree that the IR signature of the APU has to be quite low. Based on the facts that both the Tor and the earlier Osa have an APU (gas turbine, IIRC) to enable operation even with the main engine shut down, I'd guess that the towed version has the same APU. That may be small in size, but needs a high output, as the system has high power requirements.
Would appreciate anyone helping with pics of 2S31. Especially left hand side, full view. Anyone help?
