Yes, Martin-Baker actually pioneered it years ago.

Its a fairly standard feature of most "modern" jets.

AFAIK currently i.e since early 80s the best ejection seats are made by Russians. It is rumored that F-22 is flying with a russian designed seat. If u remember the Franbough MiG 29 collusion and subsequent crash, according to westren experts, if the MiGs had westren seats, both pilots would have died. The art lies in the design of windblas deflectors and the stabilizing chutes. Fairly small innovations but nonetheless life saving.

IIRC it was proposed to acquire the Zvezda K-36 for the F-22, but eventually the ACES II was selected.
