Thanks, but I was able to deduce that much, as the 2A42 is the main armament of the BMP-2 (among other vehicles). The question is who-where-when-why-how did it?

Chechens during the first war with the help of belorussian or ukrainian mercenaries (probably) fighted on chechen side.

Also they wrote that it could be avia version of 2А42 for helicopter

Shooting in air is middle eastern/asian mentality

I guess no fireworks in....where ever (wherever, maybe?) you're from. By the way, don't the fire squads shoot in the air during specific military ceremonies in US, for example? Or how about artillery salutes?
