The front-most external fuel tank is missing, and there is diesel spilled over the front of the vehicle. Probably the tank got hit with something that punctured it (Shrapnel, bullets is enough), and the crew removed it. If this is the case, the tank is operational with reduced range (external fuel cells out of action as the fuel flows through the front tank to internal tanks). Crew probably removed the fuel tank and are waiting for replacement to continue with full fuel capacity.

The only thing is, this would mean that there are four tank battalions in this tank regiment. Usually there are only three, well according to the cold war days anyway.
