It is reputed that the tail "stinger" houses a rear-looking radar. As for the dumb bombs thing, the combat avionics of this baby ensure accuracy at many aspects of the flight envelope.

The tail area for the Su-34 is for all sorts of things. There is a planned rear facing warning radar, but AFAIK it is not fitted yet. It will carry fuel and from memory there are upward firing chaff and flare launchers in its top.
The Su-34 is pretty much a strike aircraft though it can carry modern beyond visual range AAMs it will generally by trying to fly fast towards or away from a target it is about to or has just hit.
Optimally it will operate from medium height above the trashfire using its onboard ECCM systems to protect it from SAM threats. For difficult well protected targets it can fly low and fast, or use standoff weapons. The rear mounted radar is intended to give it all round vision without having to do a 360 every once and a while to check its 6.
It will likely have avionics that support the dropping of dumb ordinance from low and medium altitudes. Accuracy will be better than WWII, but not laser guided accuracy. Some area targets do not require a high level of accuracy.
(Obviously when accuracy is required it can carry all sorts of TV, IIR, laser, and satellite guided bombs and missiles.)

Is it not too high bombing with dummy bombs
Probably weapon seperation tests, to make sure the released weapons fall clear of the aircraft and are not sucked up by the airflow and hit the aircraft.

    Do you have a Saiga/Vepr?
Regarding the Saiga... I can only have 7 shot mags for centre fire automatic rifles... and I have a Chinese Type 56S. Basically a copy of the AKM.

    This one is a S-25 (C-25) unguided 250mm rocket.

    That one is a S-13 (C-13) unguided 122mm rocket.

Question: I have some really exclusive pics of pre-war Chechnya from the 70/80s that I would like to post. Should I post them here or create a new topic? Since I've only noticed military photos in this thread, and the ones I have are more "cultural", so to say .

It uses a blowback-operated mechanism like most semi-automatic .22 LR rifles. Nothing to do with the AK or the SVD.

Design-wise, it's an obvious knock-off of the Beretta CX4 Storm.

Some time ago russian officials said, that in 2009 russian PVO SV will get modernized Strela-10, Osa-AKM and Tunguska-M1 systems. New Strela-10 with data link for outside picture and thermal sight system was shown in MAKS. I would like to know if OSA-AKM will also get data link for outside radar picture and thermal camera for day/night passive work and if Tunguska-M1 will get radar mode for missile guidance and night channel in its optical sight? Maybe older Tors will also get thermal camera to back up TV channel for passive work?
