    Hi everybody.

I'm looking for information related to the russian units that wear those patches on their sleeves. It would be very helpful to see some pics showing how the rest (of the patches worn by this two spetsnaz groups) are distributed on their uniforms, assault vests, etc. Which uniforms do each of them use? (I know it's difficult to be precise when dealing with russian troops). THANKS

    First, VITYAZ

Second, Eastern region of Russian interior troops

My advice: www.spets.dk. It's the best site on Russian patches I ever found and I searched a lot. (The MVD unit patches: http://www.spets.dk/spets_mvd_stofmrk.htm)
For camo pattern look at this: http://www.kamouflage.net/country/00156.php
    For equipment e.g.: http://www.russiancombatgear.com/
The official web page of the interior troops: http://www.vvmvd.ru/?menu=29

Well, i don't collect patches, so (speaking bout official patches) IMO it's better to lurk over MoD\MVD\what ever site and russian collectors boards. And bear in mind that there's over 9000 nonofficial patches made by specific unit (e.g in FSB there's one patch, indicating your belonging to FSB, but specific departments could introduce their own and those patches are not described in generally accessible acts)

This may seem like somewhat of a silly question, but there is something I'd like to know about Russian Roundels. I have seen photos of late 1930s and early Great Patriotic War aircraft and have noticed what appear to be two different types of roundels. One type is the normal solid red star, and the other is a red star that appears to have a circle in the middle. Did these roundels belong to different branches of service or something?
