Regarding the lack of new stuff at the parade... well they didn't actually promise to show any as far as I know. I was hoping for a T-95 to be revealed but I guess the tank show might be a more appropriate place to reveal that. Equally MAKS will probably be the best place to reveal the PAK-FA prototype too. Even then there are no guarantees of even this.
It would be "unwise" to reveal equipment not accepted into service yet at a big public parade, since there is a decent chance it could break down or something, and then you look stupid in front of A LOT of people.

Congratuation to all Russians for the Wonderful Parade.
It could be tha next year could be a chance to show the PAK-FA even if it should be be a bit too early, it will depend on ow may flights they will be able to perform in less than one year, a two years time should be more reasonable!

The thing is that those that will think you look stupid because you tried and failed probably already don't like you anyway. From what I have read the T-95s design has been finalised and was finalised in 1997 and that it has been lack of money and existing surplus of tanks that has prevented it being put into production till this year.

Still I can be patient. Really got no choice in the matter.

During the last Soviet parade (1990), which type of T-72 was shown (right before the T-80s)?

Is it just me or the frontal part of their turret has a more rectangular-shaped armor compared to earlier variants?

See this video; very quickly at 01:50, 02:20 and later at 02:25

    I'd appreciate any help, thx.

T-95 will be shown at the Nizhy Tagil expo (hopefully), and the PAK-FA at the MAKS expo (again hopefully). So gotta wait till June and August...

    The T-72 I think in the parade in 1990 was a T-72BA.
