The current contract will make Russia loose money, and therefore it cant come to fruition. If India want the carrier by 2012, the contract will have to be redrafter with a higher price.

One question to ATGM.
If a chopper is attacking a ground target like a tank.
Does the rocket hits the tank on the top of it ?
Where the armor is the weakest, or from the side ?

And can ATAKA handle it with a M1A2 ?

Not a chance...IF it hits the front and misses weakened zones. Which is very unlikely if a chopper is shooting the missile.

I see, but in a "normal" situation it can defeat it.

Normal situation for head on encounter, but with a helicopter that is frankly 95% impossible. EVEN if the chopper is low altitude, and the turret happens to be head on to the chopper, the missile would probably hit the roof at a sharp angle.
