Vitaly, is the Sogjoy going to be used for emergency services? Or will it be explored for military purposes too?

It's now in the civil use for hunters and fishmen, but they are planning to offer it to MChS after final tests. Not sure the succeed in that

the current contract will make russia loose money, and therefore it cant come to fruition. If india want the carrier by 2012, the contract will have to be redrafter with a higher price.

here are some pics from april,

    omg, again???????????

What an ugly gun - I'm not liking that AK-10x series handguard.
The design of the handguard is sound. The fat bulge along the bottom gives you something solid to grip in your palm and the ribbed areas above and behind the bulged area means your fingertips get a good grip even if they are covered in mud. Very practical even if they don't appeal to you visually.

Regarding the forward swept wing, they have a few issues and a few advantages. The issues include not being able to have stores pylons because of the design structure of the wings themselves. They are also most efficient at subsonic speeds but retain efficiency even at supersonic speeds. (remember the first plane credited with supersonic speed in horizontal flight had a straight wing.)
A forward sweep wing would probably best suit a naval stealth fighter that is conventional takeoff and cable assisted landing on carriers as the advantages in low speed flight would be useful. Have seen photos of new long wave radars designed to be fitted into the wing of an aircraft. As such the talk of 360 degree view radars that can see modern stealthy aircraft would suggest 4 of these radar antennas, two in each wing facing forward and backwards. This means a thicker wing than is usual for a FSW setup because the flex capability of a FSW is crucial.

(note with a forward swept wing if you do a yaw turn one wing starts travelling faster through the air than the other and therefore generates more lift. This extra lift raises the wing which further increases lift which flexes the wing even more. If the wing is not designed to be extremely rigid lengthwise the force will break the wing off fairly quickly. That is why only fairly modern composite materials are needed to make a successful FSW design because the material used needs to be rigid lengthwise. Using conventional materials to achieve that would result in a wing that is too heavy so the effect of the reduction in drag of a FSW is lost because of weight issues.)

One has to realize that modern jets like MiG, Sukhoi, Rafale, Typhoon, Gripen are getting increasingly unaffordable for more and more countries.

Airplanes like the Yak-130 that can do both training as well a number of combat duties should have a bright future.

As for a current export version, I havn't heard of one yet. But I expect this plane to be offered in the future in a number of configuration including a single seater. There may be some export versions coming up too.
I don't understand I remember reading on another forum that it costs $15.5 Million to upgrade a MiG-29A/B to SMT standard, so how can Syria NOT afford to do that to 100 MiGs?

Syria does not have 100 MiG-29 airplanes. Only a couple of dozens.
