Not trying to hate here. I'm more then glad that there are lots of rehearsals and this thing is growing. But am I only one thinking WTF Russia, why can't the parade be rehearsed elsewhere and kept secret. Isn't the Russian army amble to rehearse parades and then make one representation on Red Square as it was when USSR existed. To me this constant public rehersals and especially on the red square really take away the element of beauty and surprise.

It will not work. Now this show... The world has changed...

It will not work. Now this show... The world has changed...

Yes, I think that before where it was just a parade for the audience in the stands and the party leaders with maybe a couple of television cameras you could get away with "normal" soldiers marching down the square without that much preparation. Now there are a hundred cameras with 100X zoom and slow motion replay and HD sound/resolution, broadcast to an international audience. In this sort of circumstance every little error will stand out, so practice makes perfect.
