Sure, but they just don't match visually. For starters, L85 is much too short for the way it's held. FAMAS is short as well, but the French "cheat" by holding it in peculiar way, while the Brits still hold L85 as if it was a full-length rifle. Russians and Americans, at least, have a dedicated parade rifles.

It seemed to me that we(the Americans) were using M4s with collapsable stocks, could've mixed up pictures though.

Out of all photographs and with all this hype of 65-th Anniversary, no photo is more powerful and reflects the heroism of the nation than this one, IMHO. Could be repost.......well....

All of these parade spoilers are somewhat pissing me off (I mean, by now, we've seen it all!), but I guess with so many foreign troops on review, they have to run the most thorough of rehearsals to avoid mistakes stemming from ignorance of local parade protocol.

I also like the new downsized Russian uniform peaked caps (first image). Compare them to the airfields gracing the heads of our Kazakh and Turkmen brothers and enjoy the difference in style. Classy.

+1 on the hats. Closer to WW2 style Soviet and British small caps, which IMHO were the best looking designs ever. "Airfield for flies" caps are plain ugly (especially on 5'5 pudgy generals).

I am not sure why would they use L96 A1 instead of Lobaev SVL. The russian rifle have over twice the effective range.
Maybe their current mission doesnt require over 2 kilometers distance..

Well, you can see black uniforms much like Marines. That's mean that they are either Alpha or FSO, as all national security services are now wearing it. But Alpha really has no business standing guard, so that's most probably FSO.

Man, can you, ahem, read? Who ever said even a word about functionality? (Well, to be really nitpicking the ACUs are criticized from this side as we, but then, no one's perfect...) The whole point is that focus on functionality often leads to less then perfect looks.
