Nothing nice, typical minimalistic kabak cretinism. I do not know why the title Avtonomka is in this video but if it is reference to the ORT soap Avtonomka--the spitting and vomiting from this "patriotic art" was virtually universal among naval professionals. Sasha Rosenbaum's submarine song is way better, in fact--it is on the other plane altogether. I guess Russian submariners deserve better than this tru-la-la piece of crap.

Looking for some pictures of the Saiga in the field or on an operation...is there a way to filter a thread to find specific posts by type or do I need to go through all 2,500+ responses? : ) Thanks for the help, sorry in advance for a knuckleheaded question.
Du-u-u-ude, are you sure you're not a Glavpur drone? But then. even them usually would know what they're speaking about, which you seemingly don't. "Avtonomka" is just a Navy parlance for any long away-from-base deployment, so the (admittedly crappy) show has absolutely nothing to do with the website, which is dedicated to collecting and preserving the submariners lore, including their folk songs -- one of which is used in the flick, BTW. And you definitely need to check your sense of humor, it looks to be lacking somewhat.
Do you seriously expect the submariners to keep the grave and solemn faces, and be filled with pathos 24/7? The song is a cute little 80-es-vintage parody, lampooning both the period's cheesy Soviet pop and cringingly pathetic (in both senses) Cold War-era "patriotic" songs, managing to insert a satyrical reference to the (then already) small salaries of the officers along the way. True, it's somewhat lowbrow, but when military humor ever got to be a paragon of sophistication?
