Nice photos of production line of Ka-52 helicopters. Are they those helicopters, which air force got in December or a newer batch? The place of radar is actually very big, so it could have quite big and capable radar, specially if it is PESA or AESA type. I wonder what weaponry will be connected with radar. Usual ATGM doesn't need it. Maybe Ka-52 could use medium range AAM like R-77 or larger ground attack precise weapons, which could work with radar on longer range.

I would **** my pants if it had a PESA/AESA radar of that size, would be the most potent helicopter suit in the world bar none.
Ka-52 avionics development makes one want to batter his head into a steel rail though.

BMPT and T-90M together. Maybe BMPT project is not dead jet. Maybe this is a half year old picture, but I doubt they will show BMPT if it is canceled. T-90M have quite interesting side protection. Somehow remind on Merkava.

Does anyone know why the Su-34 is the only member of the Flanker family to have the engine nacelles painted over ???

All other variants are bare metal - and a b*gger to paint when making a model.

The Su-34 has them painted over in the camouflage colours - do the AL-31's on the Su-34 run cooler ??

It's enough to do the job it was designed for.

It's not created for Rambo, but rather for the SF guys who work as part of a team...

I never fired from it, but have a good friend who used it... and he never complained about capacity of its mag...
