There were hundreds of thousands of teenagers younger than 18 years old fighting on the Soviet Side. When villages ran out of men, they would send their sons. My grandfather started fighting at 16.5 years old, first just with the partisan unit out of the surrounding small towns/villages, but then he joined the army.
I respect you Russians but I am skeptical of your leaders. Don't worry. I don't think much higher of ours either.
