What is with the ERA blocks and the open gap between the gun and the era? Or lack of side skirts?

The skirts are often removed in training to make access to the suspension easier for maintenance and prevent the accumulation of snow, mud and debris. The gaps in ERA coverage can be partly explained by the removal of the Luna IR searchlight formerly located to the right of the gun. But still, too much of the turret front is left uncovered.

Some of the photographers shown in this thread should go teach Lockheed Martin how to take pictures. Go looking for decent F-35 or F-22 pics and all you get is a bunch of high res, grainy, blurry $hit. Some of the pics here are the sharpest, clearest aircraft pics I've ever seen.

Can somebody aid me in find 1 or 2 photo of Russian service member firing PKM while standing? I had multiple photos of this on my last desktop, but I afraid they lost in the transfer of files. My memory tells me 1 photo was from 2nd Chechen War, soldier had one leg up on higher ground, looking down sights, while hold PKM up to his shoulder. Also I had photos of training exercise of various VDV & Army units where Soldiers were in slow run mode with PKM's up at their shoulders, one photo even had the catch moment where soldier fired weapon. I just want to see those photos again, I loved them. My google searching is not giving me anything close, maybe I am not use the correct keywords.

    Thanks

This is almost similar to one that I had, but I had them in full standing position.
