It reminds me of classic holywars Ka-50/52 vs Mi-28 that'd been flamed around. The most common opinion was like "bad lobbyist" from Mil successfully strive to supplant their Kamov competitors. Meanwhile the MoD keeps ordering all three (!!) different types of attack helicopters and the Progress plant (Kamov production line) has the largest signed contract atm. Ka-52 - 140 Mi-28N - 97 Mi-35M - 49 (the second contract for additional 27 units has been signed yesterday)
^There will be more Mi-28N contracts this year, so it will possibly tip the Ka-52 number. Personally, i am very happy that over hundred Ka-52's will be produced, after all talk years ago with only 20 etc...
Are those Ka-52 from Far East squadron to be equipped with Arbalet radar and DIRCM complex?
Anyway 140 Ka-52 is nice number and maybe later they will order more. As I know RuAF already have more than 20 Ka-52 together with pre-serial ones. Which ATGM is standard missile for ka-52 at the moment? Ataka or Vikhr? Any news when will be Hermes ready for ka-52?
