It's as old as A-10 and again, it's as ugly as A-10 is. As for A-10 being better, watch that last video I posted. It's faster and more maneuverable, survivable as A-10, and while sporting a double barreled cannon, it's rate of fire is in smack dab middle between the GAU-8's low and high rates of fire.

So is the A-10 and it doesn't have to be pretty, it has to be able take a beating and return home, which it has:

The A-10 fits the tactical doctrine of the United States, while the Su-25 fits the doctrine for the Federation. There is no better" aircraft just aircraft that fits the war-fighting prospective of their respective countries.

The SU-25 is doing a marvelous job and they are are being upgraded to SU-25SM configuration for improve survivability and combat effectiveness and they are expected to remain in service until early 2020s.

    that is right my friend
but in iraq , the real experiment of A 10, the iraqi tanks have been destroyed by close and far support of A-10
and the targets destroyed by 100/100 accuracy
the su 25 technology is too old ,there is no guided bombs , high rate of shooting down.

I actually find A-10 beautiful. But it's no match to modernized SU-25.

Bullsh/t, that would mean every single AGM functioned 100% perfectly, Every single DUR from the GAU-8 hit its assigned target and not the opposing terrain and that all dumb munitions hit their targets exactly and were not affected by adverse conditions.
the su 25 technology is too old ,
It's the same age as the A-10, try again.
    there is no guided bombs
Oh look, whats under it's wing? Looks like a KAB-500kr, guided munition.

    high rate of shooting down
Attrition rates are most prevalent for CAS aircraft since they are right there in the combat zone and are vulnerable to everything AAA, Manpads, Heavy Machine guns from the opposing ground troops.

    Quit trolling.

Why is it military hardware has to be "pretty". What is it with everybody thinking everything has to be so pretty. It's war, not a fashion contest. It don't matter if it looks like a big dump of steel soddered together in a garage, or if it is a streamline aircraft with smooth lines and curves. The purpose of weapons is to kill. The Grebeshok does that very well. It has many many instance of return to airfield with shredded wings and tails, and with 1 engine.
