On all MiG-31 subtypes minus MiG-31BM the hardpoint closest to wingtip is meant for fueltanks only. On MiG-31BM those points are wired for normal pylons and weapons as well. So it can carry 4 R-73's or 4 R-77-1's.

Your picture shows original MiG-31BM proposed by MiG. It could have ground attack weapons. By all accounts current MiG-31BM version cannot use ground attack weapons (pointless anyway).
As I know, it was meant to use anti radar missiles Kh-58 and Kh-31, not other ground attack weapons.

Yup, i didn't mean any other. Those were part of the MiG proposed update, but as i said RuAF didn't want/need it. Wise. Instead they have sharpen the plane even more towards being superb "long arm" platform.

As i said, original BM could. The operational ones cannot.

Aren't Interceptors suppose to be in air defence forces, rather than air force?

In times of USSR they were in IA PVO or fighter aviation of air defense force. But later in Russia air defense force was transfered inside RuAF. Maybe with creation of VKO (air and space defense) as independent military branch they could be again part of VKO/air defense. In my opinion Mig-31BM, Su-35 and PAK FA could be the core of VKO aviation.

I've decided to close all debts before the NY. So there is the report from my recent trip to ODON training range with photos of Ural Federal and Vityaz operators.
Armored Ural Federal from this report is the early version of Federal armored vehicles family and previously was know as Zvezda-V armored truck. Now all the vehicles from that family are called Federal.
As I wrote before, the officers from 604th Special Purpose Center (former Vityaz and Rus' special units) had a short training of building assault at the training range and it helped me to take some action photos of Ural Federal with special unit operators.
