Quick question about Armata as Universal Combat Platform, the engine. From all the photos and videos published so far it looks like the T14 has rear mounted engine and T15 front mounted engine. Is it only my imagination or am I right?
You are not mistaken, the T-15 has the engine mounted on the front which frees up space in the rear for the classic IFV layout of having troops in the back and the crew mid/front of the vehicle.

It would have been a good idea to keep the chassis with the engine at the front for the T-14 (Merkava style).

    What for?
It has an armour-capsule for crew, don't forget.
And the operational situations are much more variable and complex than for Merkava.

anybody else think the boomerang hull is too narrow? also that tiny rear door with top hatches doesn't make sense. i thought they would've followed the western approach

The small door is an emergency hatch set inside a larger ramp, see the hinged lever arms that come up from below the hull?
