That would be the 9F838 Tselik Platoon set of laser simulators or fire and manpower. It includes laser attachment simulators for AKs and RPKs, PKM and SVD, RPG-7, RPG-26 and RPG-27, and Metis ATGM. The small arms use blank rounds to activate the laser while the missiles have an ammo allocation based on the type.I found this picture today in a brochure about the Russian Land Forces. The soldiers and vehicles seem to be fitted with what appears to be the Russian version of MILES. Can someone confirm and maybe provide the right designator? Tx
The Mig-25 prompted the US to develop a counter aircraft... the F-15 with the same basic aerodynamic configuration and one that is still present in the F-22 in the US and the Mig-29, Su-27, and Mig-31 in Russia.which one i.e.?
Have you ever actually seen a vigilante? It has a single tail!MiG-25: total A-5 Vigilante copy.
It depends. If you mean the target drone version of the missile then it has a longer range than any SAM version. The Pechora 2A has a range of up to 28km.What an awesome advancement in SAM system from something old (yet effective) to something new and cheap. Now question though, what is the effective range of this missile? Because I am hearing conflicting reports off of wiki and Rian.
The Tselik set has a rectangular box attached about the same position as the bayonet lug on the AKM on rifles and LMGs.Thank you! Now that I know that the system is called Imitator or Lazernyj Imitator I should be able to find more info on the internet.
I'll look for pics on the internet but I have the specs if you want them.
see pics down right hand side of this page:

Cheers. I'm mainly interested in the system for AFV's as mounted on that BMP-1. So far I've only found info on the sets that are mounted on portable weapons.
Damn, this photo looks like it was taken in Stalingrad.. It has a creepy feeling to it![]()
