Yes it was on of the most striking facts that in some cases there were not enough weapons for soldiers and I know ever worse cases. Our nation lost 20 million people in 4 years (for instance - Germany lost 6 million, Italy - about 400 thsds, US - 350 thsds), personally my family lost 6 men and the one who fighted and survived the war was my grand-grandpa.
But finally we did it and this is our victory. And this is a history, it was like it was so it's pointless to mess with it. Especially for one who hardly knows what is he talking about.
BTW do you really think we start building up the Soviet Union, call themselves "tovarischi" and some other cr*p? I wouldn't comment that, you just could go watch FoxNews further...

Good point. But personally I think that there nothing to talk about much. Every country shows its soldiers as the perfect ones. For instance, Soviet soldiers in foreign countries wore leather boots while soldiers inside the country wore "kirzachi" (tarpaulin-made, with PU-steep boots).
And such examples are all around the world.
