It's Mi-24D, with 12.7 mm machine gun, not very potent, so it was replaced by 30 mm canon, this one was designed Mi-24P. That 30 mm canon is very, very powerful and deadly.

No, it's not, it is even not comparable to DSHK. The last one has much more longer barrel, and as a result, greater kinetic energy. With 12.7, that's mounted on D versions, you can engage only soft targets, no armour, no concrete, no hardened shelters, nothing, just unprotected troops.

the sub is too big for the tactical tasks and cruise missiles ...some of them could be fired even from torpedo tubes (if i'm not mistaken)...

Finally, after so many years - a new picture of the MiG 1.44.I bet Sukhoi tested it.
Also you can see how the instrumental panel looks - there was also one big MFD with 3D features.JSF in the early 90ies!!!

It's kinda confusing, NATO has its reporting name to be Typhoon as the Russian has it named Akula. Meanwhile NATO has designated the Russian sub type named Shchuka in russian to Akula... Yep. Doze damm russiez'.

GSh-30K is the canon mounted on Mi-24, that's the most powerful of all air cannons, that cannon is even better than the one mounted on Su-25, it's even more powerful than the cannons mounted on BMPs, and what's more, there are two such canons on Mi-24P. It's like being under fire of 2 BMP, only from the sky. If you will ever need an attack helicopter, take the Mi-24P.

It's the fault of NATO, not Russians.

You convinced me... but what's the reason of installing on KA-50 and MI-28 one 30mm cannon from BMP (2A42???) but not the more powerful GSh-30K?
