Pictures, 2 articles and enough personal experience with German and Japanese luxury/sport rides to spot a lemon from a mile away.

I also had a Lada for 4 years, so my expectations of Russian autoprom are not very high.

So, a hybrid can be a Supercar whether you like it or not. And FYI an electric motor powers a car much quicker than conventional engine. so, Hybrids, in the long run, will have faster 0-60 numbers than comparable conventional engines.

back to topic. If you are replying me, better post some pictures of your own rather than just bore this thread with claims and counter claims.
My source is impeccable: Top Gear

In all seriousness, I have nothing against Hybrids or Electric cars, but the truth is that they are just now starting to take off, and as a result the technology is still relatively new. Not surprisingly, they suffer performance wise compared to gas or diesel powered cars, or are simply a hassle to deal with. Also, unknown to most people, these type of cars usually leave a bigger carbon footprint and hurt the environment more in the production stages than making a regular car would. Once the technology improves I'll probably warm up to them more. But so long as we have the Prius () as the everyday hybrid car, I prefer any gas guzzler instead.

P.S. Supercars aren't generally considered luxurious (unless you're including the lifestyle) as much as they are outlandish, after all who would call the Zonda luxurious? Luxury is a Mercedes S600 or a Rolls Royce Phantom.

    P.P.S. Required Russian photo:

P.P.P.S. I still stand by my statement that the car is ugly.

thanks Gents, really appreciate the heads up, I fully understand the trimming down of elements such as construction troops and railway troops. But to interfere with the all powerful combat Divisions is politicians (penny pinching) folly in my view. I am not Russian but as an observer I would be on the side of the people in Russia who dont agree with this restructuring.

Glad to hear these units are keeping their historic identities though!

The Russian army is still moving towards a fullly profesional army so a drop in numbers is inevitable. That as well as currently a brigade structure is deemed better then division/army structure for todays goals.

As for the structure might try warfare.ru

Russian Ground Forces are basically being restructured similar to current U.S. Army transformation principles ala Brigade Combat Team-based force.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfo...dular_Brigades

This means that the historical units might keep their names, but they will never be deployed in old formations operationally.

So, there might still be a 58th Army on paper, but command & control of troops will be on the level of modular battalions (which form a brigade) instead of whole divisions.

    "When do we want them?"

    "NOW!"

sadly, it's not a Guards one anymore.
81st, which have a bright and glorious past is now a part of newly formed Brigade. so i guess Red Banner and 2nd degree Suvorov order in the past now.
i was honored th serve there in 90's, therefore i'm aware of this reform.

What is the difference between the Mi-28s with 0X (02, 03, 04..) and 4X (42, 43..) bort numbers? Is one series a prototype?
