^^ I recommend you to start using imageshack, tinypic, or any other imagehoster site, you might get this thread locked and yourself suspended.

I am having difficulty answering your question, but I can add this personal
observation. I talked to a tank batallion commander of one of the units
equipped with the latest T-72s produced in the Soviet Union. He said
in his experience the practical top speed of these tanks is about 55 km/h,
at least that is what he could achieve on his tank.

Don't worry, we even lasted through South Ossetian war discussion without having been kicked out from the forum. LOL

Redbeard, T-90A's max speed is 70kph though its weight is 46.5t (or 48t in "A" mod.) while PT-91's weight is 45.9t

There is a difference in being a smart ass in a thread and direct disobeying forum rules. Re-host the photo.
Or don't, this is a Russian photos thread.

Actually, I am not that advanced with computers and need some time
to figure out how to repost the photos. Before I learn how to do that,
I would refrain from posting any new stuff.

    PS

Why even a tangential mentioning of the SO war is so painful to you?
I can practically sense you irritation from the great distance.

Don't be a Jackass...Hotlinking is a no-no on this forum, whocares about your computer skills. The MODs don't give flying fvck, you'll get penalized if they see it. Take the correction and move along.

I'm not Russian so the whole SO thing don't bother me, it's the use of hotlinking that can get the best thread on the net closed down that kinda gets to me

    OK I corrected myself.

BTW, I am wondering why hotlinking is a taboo? Is it for
technical reasons or some sort of a copyright thing???

Absolute maximum speed is not that important for tanks, since its achieved only on flat tarmac and with considerable time to accelerate to that speed.
What matters is engine torque and how well the suspension handles rough terrain at around 30-40kph. Having a bazillion hp engine is totally useless if it has no torque or if the suspension of the tank makes any kind of aimed fire impossible while moving over rough terrain.

Hotlinking means you're using the bandwidth of the site your linking from. That's considered a "**** move" on the internet. Plus there is the chance the site your linking from can replace the image with something else. Something potentially nasty.
