And, Regarding Helos, A Mi-35,28 and Apache or Any other Morden Attack helo would target a Armour at a range beyond 3kms.. No chance for 12.7mm..
So 12.7mm is no big thread for todays flying helos and Aircraft!

But 12.7 NSVT is a very effective against infantry!
Who cares if it was a lucky shot. A $5000 weapon shot down $50 000 000 weapon.

And helicopters can afford to work from 3km only in the deserts and plains. Visibility is much more limited elsewhere.

What comes to work against infantry, I'd rather have smaller caliber higher ROF weapon with a larger magazine for that.

But then again, opinions are like *******s.

Complex "Ураган-1M" has index 9K57. MLRS themes "Tornado" on arms were not accepted.

By the way... an index 9А ** - only at systems "Smerch" (9А52-2, 9А52-4), "9А" is "fighting vehicles of guided-missile systems".
    At remaining "9К**" - "guided-missile systems".

    Raden5, Red Templar

you definitely should take some English lessons, basic level at least...
    computer translation sucks so hard
most of your posts can be understood only by Russian speakers
since sometimes it's just a set of words with wrong meanings
PLEASE DO read what you post, this one is just outstanding - "Calculation of the launcher - 4 people"
thanks for making me laugh anyway - nothing personal)))

just to make this post not a complete offtopic

It was not an insult. "Opinions are like *******s, everyone has one and everybody think the on that other person has, stinks." - is just a common saying that I jus shortened. It basically means that we have a different opinion with each other and those opinions do not match. It doesn't even imply that my opinion would be somehow better than yours.

    But mostly...

I stay with my opinion. I like NSV a lot, and I think that it is hell of AA weapon and AT weapon. Of course it is not S-300 or Spike ER, it is a machinegun. And as a machinegun I rate it very high in the mentioned roles. I was once in a AA firingline where we had a company of BMP-2's and a company of T-72's shooting a an aerial target drone: and it was NSV that shot the target down. In the AT role it is capable to punch through the side of a unmodified BMP at ranges up to 500m, which I find truly impressive.

On the other hand 60 round belt is not enough for anti-infantry work, ROF is slow and caliber is mostly overkill. MG-3 of the Leopard would be better choice.

NSV firing at the firing line firing at an helicopter target 600 meters away:
