I believe that all monuments build in memory of WWII herous are touching everyone of us. Too expensive price has been payed for we could easily forgive againt who did these people fought. It has been build for our grands (thanks God my grandmom born in 1922 is still alive) for their given highest price and sacrifice of millions of lifes layed down for the future of humanity and us. While seeing such an act of vandalism can you imagine feelings of vets of WWII, who were ancientors of you and me, brits, americans, french, russians etc. and gave everything they had and even more for the Day of Sacret Victory. What a shame!

So, their only function inside the vehicle is their 7,62 MG or 30mm grenade launcher?

In the case of BMPT their only function is to fire their AGS-17. You must understand BMPT is supposed to provide cover for tanks in urban environments and will probably have to engage multiple targets in different positions at the same time. Having those two extra crew members will mean that BMPT can engage targets to the front, while the turret gunner is engaging targets to the side or rear.

In the case of BMP-3, the two guys on the sides of the driver are members of the infantry squad that is carried by the vehicle, not the BMP-3 crew. They are there to provide covering fire for the rest of the squad as it dismounts, then they will join the squad when it's in position.

PS. Gotta love those sideview mirrors.

What are rotating angles of AGS-17 mounted on BMPT?

Those mirros would be the first casualties of BMPT entering the cities and smashing through obstacles better they install rear watching video camm

Don't know the exact numbers, but judging by the picture +/- 30 degrees vertical and +/- 50-60 degrees horizontal. I could be totally wrong though.

I don't know where did you get this information but afaik there is NO such vehicles at current service. So take it easy.

Also take a look at BPM-97 trials for the some possible arab purchaser. (If someone will translate what he speaks about - will be much appreciated). BPM-97 is an Armored Vehicle of Border Guard (it could be, but it is not because of the default of 1998).

Thanks for that info....I was certain I read that more than 40 (not sure the exact number) were ordered but delivery will be over several years.
