    There is not official modification.
I read that Izhvesk were indeed planning on introducing a new modification of the AK-100 series with those features, however. Weren't they the ones Medvedev was looking at a few months ago when he was at the plant?

    There is not official information.
P.S. (Not officially) Shamanov late last year said that they would not buy an AK-74 - "we have to have enough."

"Saint-Petersburg" Lada class submarine has completed state trials. In May she's going to join up Russian Navy.

I haven't been updating myself on Russian news so please forgive me, she (or"he" if in Russia) is Russia's sole Lada correct? I take it that the vessel has had a major refit, any details

arcadian, it's the new-built diesel submarine of pr. 677 'Lada'. Currently there are two more in the shipyard, B-586 "Kronshtadt" and B-587 "Sevastopol".

It wasn't a refit per se.

The new diesel class of submarines had some teething problems with its AIP and fuel cell module longevity, which is the reason why it spent such an enormous time in trials.
