Given the endless delays and cost overruns of this ship, this sign does not lack a certain irony...

WW2 song "Temnaya Noch" (Dark Night) redone by Basta cuz it's Friday

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWcyIkUnThw

this song had been written in 1943 by composer Nikita Bogoslovskiy and poet Vladimir Agatov (real name Vevl Gurevich). Agatov wrote the poem "Temnaya noch" while he had been at war (1941-1945), dedicated it to his wife & sent it in a letter

It's a beautiful reinterpretation of a beautiful song. I thought it was from the Russian Civil war.

I didn't expect much but good god that was terrible. It seems Economy wasn't the only thing that plummeted along with the SU.

well many ppl in former SU happen to like it and it's all in the eye of the beholder you know... also I'm not sure if your command of Russian is all that great since that song is incredible in almost any interpretation if you speak the language and get the song

Many people liked it when Mark Bernes sung that song. Not this talentless ****.

well let's agree to disagree)... there are no new singers like Mark Bernes right now but I'm sure they will appear again in the future and there's plenty good music too ... at least that's my impression

There won't be though. The man didn't have the greatest voice but the way he sings it just bring the tears out of you especially if you're a woman.
