Depressing that one prototype is all we're ever going to see, at best.

Just stumbling in and wtf a leaked T-95 pic? That's comparable to a PAK-FA leak.

Becouse we don't see a turret. Turret is covered with a sheet for disinformation. Maybe it's wooden frame under the cover.

Turret is rather operational, UVZ wanted to finish work on prototype so they probably did that.

I would say, even if this vehicle will not be fielded, it will have the same impact on tank designers all over the world as T-64 have, and hopefully it will mobilize west to design and field their own, new generation MBT's.

Object-195 is impressive, and I'm happy to be wrong with my sceptic aproach.

Relikt over the turret and glasis, nice. I heard commentary in an interview that the factory declined to do a capital modernization of the t-72, I guess the government will have to find someone else to do it.

So O.195 was canceled due to unmanned turret+carousel, i guess ? It could be very-very effective design, but only with 100% reliability. And, if design assumptions are correct, there's few people around Internet, who are at lest worth listening to , because they've predicted such solutions.

    Default few questions for SmoothieX

Hi i have few questions regarding the Borei class and you are the right person to ask since you were a career sub officer.

    1) Borei still has some sort of hump though a reduced one compared to Delta-s.Is the missiles dimension the main reason or is an engineering choice due to hydrodynamics?

2)In the video ill be posting below they show two silos being opened when Putin visits. When the cover fully opens it makes a nice bang. They say in subs silence is everything.Does this affect in a negative way Borei operation though i hope 16 bangs never being heard

3)In a blog i read that russians are using ethnic tatars when comunicating through subs or ships much like navajo talkers during 2nd world war.Is this tactic introduced recently or inherited from soviet times?

    Thanks in advance SmoothieX

Nah, actually such design is best, even Americans wanted to go that way, look at TTB prototype based on M1 hull, and that design was very promising.

The only thing needed is that whole turret assemlby with mechanical loading system is isolated by armored bulkheads from the rest of a tank and have blow-off panels.
