    Here's a picture where you have similar views of the BTR-80 (top) and BTR-80 m2008 (bottom). Note the much bigger gunners' sight and the little square laser projector on the latter.

    I've mentioned this before, it is because this years parade is smaller than last years. Last year was huge because it was the 65th anniversary, this year there will be less equipment than last year (less helicopters, less aircraft, less vehicles, possibly less soldiers too). I wouldn't try to read too much into the decision as to which vehicles to cut from the parade.
