    Mil- Mi 24BM (Mi-35-M3)
Is this the designation for the Mi-35M intended for Russian service?

Apologies if my question is lame but which version is ordered by Russian AF? 30mm fixed cannon and which one gun-mount with double 23mm?

The 23mm turret is the newer variant, the cannon variant (Mi-24P) is an older variant.

Default Assembly Of Sukhoi Superjet 100 in Komsomolsk-On-Amur

SSJ 100 is the first Russian passenger aircraft used for short-haul flights put into production after the downfall of the USSR.

This time a Russian aviation company invited 30 leading foreign companies to participate in the development of the project.

No country in the world can construct civil airplanes on its own without participation of partners from other countries.

Thus, in production of Airbus and Boeing they use Russian titanium items.

Specialists from France, Germany, Spain, USA, England, Japan and China participate in the process of the airbus construction.

Project of the SSJ 100 was made in Russia.

It uses French avionics, fuel flow system and chassis, English arm-chairs, German life-support system, Swiss engine vibration pickups, etc.

An aircraft is a very complex unit. It is impossible to take the best foreign parts and assemble a plane that will fly at once. Electronics, hydraulics and avionics need to be united in an aircraft in the necessary way.

Front part of the fuselage and the empennage is made in Novosibirsk, Russia.

    Assembly of fuselage panels.

Fuselage, centre wings are assembled in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Final assembly also takes place in Russia.

Line of panel assembly. Production area 32.

The aircraft is painted in Ulyanovsk. Static and other important trials were held by the leading Russian institutions.

    Left panel.

KnAAPO produces three central parts of the fuselage, outer wings and engine pylons.

Hmmm.... excuse me su30mkv, but is the SSJ somehow military related? I mean besides being built by Sukhoi?

    Russian aviation industry.
But of course the precision machinery is made in Germany (Fooke)

Interesting how many women (and even good looking ones) work in that plant in what are still almost exclusively male jobs in Germany.

Thanks ! I am just wondering why in Russian choppers there are os little amo storage comparing to western? 450 rounds for Hind with 23mm gun, Ah-64 1,200 rounds. Russians do not believe in guns?
Since muzzle velocity of 23mm gun is slow (~700 m/s) do they use some sabboted AP ammo? Case seems be same as for 14,5 gun...
