The first part of the report from my trip to Lipetsk Aviation Center.
The Center was significantly reformed in recent years, renamed in 2010 and received the new designation 4th State Order of Lenin Order of the Red Banner Center for Training of Aircrew and Military Test of Ministry of Defence of Russia named after Valery Chkalov. However, the Center is most often referred as Lipetsk Aviation Center.

Lipetsk Aviation Center traces its history from Air Force Center for Combat Application, that was formed April 19, 1953 in Tambov city. In 1954, the Center was located in Voronezh, and in 1960 was relocated to Lipetsk and renamed to Center for Combat Application and Training of Aircrew. And as I wrote above in 2010 the Center was renamed to the current designation.

The objectives of the Center are conducting science and research work, development of ways of combat application, as well as training and retraining of aircrew.

Currently the Center consists of four squadron: 1st Fighter Air Squadron with Su-27, Su-27UB, Su-27SM and Su-30, 2nd Fighter Air Squadron with MiG-29 and MiG-29UB, 3rd Bomber Air Squadron with Su-24, Su-34 and 4th Assault Air Squadron with Su-25 and Su-25UB.

Thank you for the report Vitaly, always a joy to see from you.

One tiny little thing. Su-25 b/n red 86 and 87 are actually Su-25SM. Since Su-27's are correctly marked, thought i would point that out as well...

Yes - it is a 'Blind Flying Hood' - used to cover the trainee in the front seat so he has to fly on instruments.

You can see the same fittings on a Su-27UB combat trainer.

You are welcomed. More pics will be soon on this week.
I didn't marked them as SM, cause thought it was provided by the default for our respected forum members and visitors. But if the question was opened, I would edit the post. Thanks.

Indeed, it was amazing trip. they were flying like "production line". One was taking off, while the second was on the last check, third was taxing from the ramp and the fourth was flying near waiting for landing permission.

Yes, they have been. BTW, there are missile systems which are currently forbidden to export (S-400 'Triumph' and 9K720 'Iskander', for example) until MoD recieves a decent number of them.

Nope. Delayed 2 years - 2015 instead of 2013. The whole interview (in Russian) - http://i-korotchenko.livejournal.com/384407.html

It's not very clear though - there are 20 nuclear subs in the plans, but the figure for the diesel subs is unclear - 6 or more...

Eee... is there any sense of posting links to the news translated from Russian to Portuguese then from Portuguese to English?! Stop that spamming. If we need we could easily open RIAN or RT.com for example
