    Russia's answer to its CAS needs is the SU-25.

    An oldie but a goodie, Flights of the MiG-25 and MiG-31.

    You see that mirror only on the two-seater UB versions of russian/soviet planes. UB stands for Uchebniy/Boyevoy (Training/Combat), so the mirror is for the instructor. He needs to see what the trainee pilot is seeing in front of him. Sorta like the driving instructors having that extra side mirror on their side, so they can see what a trainee driver sees in his left side mirror.
