    Vitaly, outstanding work as always!

I really like the submachineguns, do you know if they are in service or being purchased? What units MVD, OMON, FSIN?

Sorry, I'm not exactly Vitaly, but as far as I know, the SR3's price tag limits it's use to mainly the higher end units. I've seen it with a few members of Alfa and Vympel and that's about it. Although I wouldn't doubt the FSO (responsible for the protection of the president and other high ranking politicians) has gotten it's hands on a few.

Thank you. The Vympel looks indeed to be a fantastic and ergonomic weapon.

Footage of a Spetsnaz operation in the North Caucasus, likely filmed in the early days of the Second Chechen war.

It's a special kind of reflective paint used on some rotor aircraft, makes it easier for the aircrew to see the rotor-disk while in flight, so they don't under-estimate how close they can get to terrain/trees/buildings without smacking into them with their rotor.
Hard to find examples on the net, it's not a very common feature. Most (should say all) helicopter pilots are trained to know how close they can fly without visually seeing the rotor disk illuminated as such, but it is a nice aid:

I suggest the people who go around bashing on the capabilities of Russian tanks based only on the Coalition's experience in Iraq watch these two videos.

I'm pretty sure these belong in this thread. .If they don't I'll remove them I guess.

These new upgrades are not serially produced yet. But the originals are actually used in FSB (Alpha/Vympel/regional special units), OMON (small amount), SOBR/OMSN, and MVD Internal troops special units
