Even if they take you to the police station and find out later that everything is OK with your papers and they let you go - the day is ruined. Especially when you don't understand much Russian.
    BS.
I've been in such situations idiot and i'm fine. And i did explained to them my rights and wasn't beaten shot dead. Oh bohoo your day is ruined and getting robbed is just another happy day for you? I've been robbed and beaten and police showed up and helped me and they found my things so are they all angels now?

because they said it is forbidden to overtake 300m before and after pedestrian crossing.
A sign? continuous line? No? Or should i read your mind and determine who was right or that you don't know traffic rules?
Ah the evil traffic police isn't harassing me for some reason mmm. Try arguing ? wow so you cant ask them what traffic rule you broke? So you have no idea about traffic rules? What are they gonna do shoot you? beat you? I talk to them polite and they talk to me the same.

I've met alot of police (traffic , omon, detective or how you call them in english) most are good-decent, some are bad just like in every place. Police is part of society if something is wrong with society so something is wrong with police, they are not made in laboratories they are people just like you and me. If you or i choose to take advantages of our jobs it doesn't mean others will or do.

If you want to talk about it more you are welcome to PM me, so we can keep this thread clean.

I haven't visited Russia for quite a long time. But I can confirm that corruption in Ukraine they have corruption beyond my imagination. Customs, traffic police, bureaucrats all ask for bribe. And they are not very expensive. DUI (пьяный за рулем) cost just $100. Speeding - about $5.
You can kill pedestrian by car and walk away from the law!
And you can buy "free press", if you want. Some journalists make soliciting trips to their potential clients, so you don't even have to call them when you need them. Don't know price list of "second oldest", but they are in good demand right now.
And, of course, you can buy SBU (xKGB) and other high profile commisions for as little as $10K-$30K, if you want to neutralize your competitor. Sure, you must have right "connections" for this.

Are those command centers operational in Belorussian or Russian army or are still in prototype phase?
